Frings' column: Miro gets record, Müller will break it!

It goes so fast. The group stage and even the first round of 16 matches are already over. And this World Cup has lived up to what I expected from it - and I mean that in general and in regards to the German team. The German team's first three games have gone how I imagined them.

Against Portugal, the team had a great day. You could tell it was going to be a tough day against the USA because of the special constellation with Klinsi as coach of the Americans. But I was a bit surprised how much the team struggled against Ghana. It is what it is! I am happy that the guys survived the group stage - and that in first place!

“Miro is ice cold”

For Miroslav Klose, the World Cup started in the 71st minute of the Ghana match. And hopefully it's not over. I am really happy for him that he is now level with Ronaldo and holds this record. I hope he breaks the record and has it for himself - and I am certain that he will do it. Miro is ice cold in front of the opposing goal and doesn't need a lot of chances. So he will score at least one more time. I am really crossing my fingers for him.

But I don't think he will hold the record long. We just have to look at Thomas Müller. The guy can still play one or two more World Cup and just keeps scoring and scoring ... One of the two will score against Algeria - I bet on it.
