SV Werder Bremen will play a test match against Hannover 96 on Wednesday 6 August 2014 at 3:30 p.m. without spectators. The game will take place on the Platz 11 grounds of Weser Stadium.

"We tried to find a location between Bremen and Hannover but couldn't find any spot or organiser such short notice. Since the test is very important to both coaches, we agreed on this. Opening up the important game would have been very difficult organisationally and hosting it with so little build-up time would have been impossible," said Werder's sports manager Thomas Eichin.
