Test match against Chemnitz scheduled

Following Werder's test match against FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt on Tuesday 12 July 2011 at 7 p.m. at Steigerwald Stadium, the Green Whites will play another match two days later against Chemnitzer FC as part of their short training camp. Werder partner Volkswagen is presenting the game on Thursday 14 July 2011 at the Stadion an der Gellerstraße grounds. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. and tickets XXXXXX are available starting Monday 20 June 2011.

The showdown against Chemnitz will finish off Werder's three-day trip to the Thuringia state capital. Between the games against Rot-Weiß Erfurt and Chemnitzer, there is a public training session at the RWE facilities as Werder partner Hasseröder is accompanying the stay with a special action for the fans. The trip will be extra special for one Werder player as Clemens Fritz will return to his home city. He played for Rot-Weiß Erfurt from 1988 to 2001 save for a two-year break at VfB Leipzig. It will be Werder's second test match in Erfurt following their 5-2 victory on 19 January 2007 in front of 15,000 spectators.
