Klaus-Dieter Fischer will remain the president of the Sport-Verein "Werder" von 1899 e.V. Along with his present presidium colleagues vice president Dr. Hubertus Hess-Grunewald and treasurer Axel Plaat, Fischer was confirmed for another four years by the member assembly.
Applause broke out at 9:09 p.m. at the Werder Hall on Hemelinger Straße as the experienced trio was sent off into their third term. Fischer thanked the members for their confidence and said: "It is a big honour to work for this club and it is a lot of fun for all of us!"
Fischer and his colleague had beforehand assessed the club's current situation. There were more Green-White members, more voluntary employees and a positive balance. Fischer presented a confident Sport-Verein "Werder" von 1899 e.V., speaking not only about the past year but looking back on the work of the past legislative period.
Treasurer Plaat presented the figures, which were worth looking at. The club came up with 114,000 euro surplus, 3.5 million euro turnover, 12.6 million euro equity. "The club's financial foundation with equity of about 95 percent of the total assets can be described as outstanding," said Plaat. "But it must be said that the increased number of members over the past years has played an important role in overcoming the challenges."
