Two creative players swapped spots: While Aaron Hunt could not take part in team training on Monday, another playmaker, Mehmet Ekici, returned to practice after two days away. "I was able to take part in full again. I did have some minor problems, but they were not a big issue," said Ekici in the afternoon.

Hunt, who on Sunday was subbed out in the 68th minute of Werder's test match against NEC Nigmegen, got Monday off to rehab.

"He is slightly banged up, but I think he will be back tomorrow," said head coach Robin Dutt about Hunt. The fact that Hunt did stand on the training grounds in the morning did have a simple reason. "We did not analyse the game against Nijmegen on video but went through a few scenes on the grounds," said the coach.

Dutt hopes Hunt can take part in the next training session Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.
