With his goal to give Werder Bremen a 1-0 lead at Nuremberg, Franco Di Santo helped Bremen to their second straight victory. For the Argentinean, it was his second Bundesliga goal. The 24-year-old was more dangerous than ever this season in the Nuremberg match.

That was a good reason for WERDER.DE to have a longer interview with Di Santo.

WERDER.DE: Franco, how often have you watched your second Bundesliga goal?
Franco Di Santo: "I have only seen it once, right after the game. Afterwards I looked for it in the internet but couldn't find it. That was kind of disappointing (laughs). But I had more luck with my smartphone.

WERER.DE: You were finally able to reward yourself with the goal. You have really done a lot for the team in the past few games, moved out to the wing and showed an ability to really be able to get back. You had only been lacking the scoring attempts. Until the match in Nuremberg ... what did you change?
Franco Di Santo: "It's just that I have really felt good the last four matches. Now I am playing the position where I learned the game and played a lot of matches. I had to really change at the beginning of the season. Since I had played so much on the wing, I didn't know what to do. In addition I was suspended right away too and then also got injured. But I think I filled the role quite orderly. My job on the wing is to help the team defensively. That made it more difficult to also apply pressure up front.

WERDER.DE: Head coach Robin Dutt has changed to a 4-4-2 system in the past four games in which you have formed a double striker combination with Nils Petersen. Do you like this system more?
Franco Di Santo: "Playing off of Nils is working well but with everyone else too. If the results are right then everyone likes the system. But I certainly feel very comfortable in this formation."

WERDER.DE: What can Werder fans expect from you when you've reached your 100 percent?
Franco Di Santo: "The fans can be happy when I am 100 percent there, I don't want to say anything more than that. When I have reached my maximum, then I can also dance past two or three players, score more goals, hold onto the ball in our half so that more players can push forward. These are all things I am working on."

WERDER.DE: By now you have been with Werder for seven months. How comfortable do you feel?
Franco Di Santo: "Werder really reminds me of my first team Audax Italiano in Chile. Back then we didn't just play in green but we also saw ourselves as a big family. There is also this family feeling with Werder. The families of every individual player stand behind Werder. They all come to the home matches and support us. That's how you can tell how good the atmosphere is."
