Werder head coach Robin Dutt and his Green-Whites will be without their striker Franco Di Santo for the next few days. The Argentinean suffered a knee ligament strain and will have to sit out 10 days, Dutt said after the test match against Hannover 96 Wednesday afternoon. Two days earlier, Di Santo had to leave training early and then had his knee examined.
There was good news, however, for centre back Assani Lukimya, who watched the test match on the Platz 11 grounds. "I assume that I can train normally tomorrow. It ended up just being a minor bruise in the knee. The break today was solely a precautionary measure," said the Congolese. Fin Bartels was able to return to team training Wednesday morning after sitting out the start of the week with a stiff muscle.
