SV Werder have a long trip! The Green-Whites will travel to Bavaria for the first round of the 2014-15 German DFB Cup with a match against fourth division Regionalliga team FV Illertissen 1921. That was the result of the cup draw from Sunday night. Illertissen finished second in the Regionalliga leageue this past season. The match will be played between 15-18 August 2014.

Reaction to the draw:

Trainer Robin Dutt: "Illertissen is a draw which just like any other team absolutely needs to be respected. The only goal is to advance."

Manager Thomas Eichin: "We only have one goal. After three years, we finally want to advance to the next round."
