Youngster Florian Hartherz is once again in Werder Bremen's 18-man roster for the Bundesliga home match against Fortuna Düsseldorf. The 19-year-old was nominated for the first time from the beginning after he was a late call-up last week for the Schalke match for the banged up Philipp Bargfrede.
"I am very happy that I am there now. I had to make up quite a bit last week and really gave my all. Now, it's my goal to stick around a while and get some minutes in the Bundesliga. Maybe it will work out tomorrow," said Hartherz.
Also back on the squad is Lukas Schmitz, who missed some time this week with a fever. Now he is ready to go and head coach Thomas Schaaf picked him for the roster. "Lukas trained again yesterday and did everything. Today he had no problems with the normal program. He will be on hand," said Schaaf, who also saw the nomination of Hartherz as a confirmation for the defender. "He worked his way back up to the team in the last couple weeks," said the coach.
Schaaf nominated the following 18 points for the match against Fortuna Düsseldorf: Mielitz, Wolf, Hartherz, Elia, Schmitz, Füllkrug, Hunt, Lukimya, Junuzovic, Gebre Selassie, Prödl, Petersen, De Bruyne, Sokratis, Ignjovski, Ekici, Akpala, Arnautovic.
