The rims, the gas cap, the hood, the roof, the exterior rear-view mirrors and six Werder car flags - three on each side. There is hardly anything left on the exterior of Andreas Lucke's Volkswagen like how it was three years ago. The car's original blue colour hardly shines through at all as the automobile is adorned with about 1,000 Green-White stickers. The 52-year-old Lucke from Stadtallendorf in Hessen showed up at training Thursday 22 September 2011 with his Volkswagen, which caught the eyes of everyone at the parking lot of Weser Stadium.

"Three years ago my car was damaged by hail. Everything was full of dents. My work colleagues collected money for me to finance the damages to be fixed. I had the idea of also getting some Werder stickers for the car with the money. From that single funny idea came a three-year long collection passion," said the Werder fan about the start of his Werder mobile, which he will drive to the game Saturday against Berlin on his 53rd birthday.

The birthday boy hopefully will get a look at Claudio Pizarro. Even though the Peruvian striker did not take part on afternoon training due to muscular problems, head coach Thomas Schaaf hopes that "he can go tomorrow". Piza himself sees his missing training as solely a "safety measure". "I will play against Berlin," said Pizarro.

The situation is similar with Marko Marin. "We have to continue to wait and be patient. Marko will not have missed that much because he was at the preparations," said the Werder coach cautiously about the 22-year-old Marin. Schaaf said a last-minute return to training could be enough for a nomination of Marin after Saturday's final training.
