It was a family atmosphere including a visit from Santa Claus and a hall decorated for the season. Werder Bremen thanked all of their employees for standing behind the club despite a less-than-easy year with their annual Christmas party. Nearly 400 guests were there Monday evening at the GOP Varieté Theater in Überseestadt.
"We have half of a year behind us and the next half year will be a challenge for all of us which we will certainly master," the chairman of the management team, Klaus Filbry, told the present workers at GOP. "Keeping together as a club is important and the team behind the team not only showed during the clean-up work after Xaver that they can stick together. For that, I would like to thank all workers on behalf of the management."
The Christmas party was a great evening thanks also to the GOP Varieté Theater. After a three-course meal, there was a breathtaking show of athleticism, dance and humour. Adults weren't the only ones who were thrilled with the experience, but the little ones as well. That's because the evening also included a visit by Santa Claus, who gave the employees' children gifts and a smile on their face.
