Those of you looking for Christmas presents in downtown Bremen on Tuesday 11 December 2012 should definitely stop by the Werder Christmas hut. That's because Werder players Theodor Gebre Selassie and Zlatko Junuzovic will be handing out mulled wine between 6 and 7 p.m. "Definitely with a Christmas hat on," said Gebre Selassie.
While the Austrian Junuzovic has already visited the Christmas market, Gebre Selassie will be making his debut visit. "For me, it's the first visit to the Bremen Christmas market. We have something similar in the Czech Republic. But I heard that it's different here. But I am also sure that it's a lot more fun here - especially with all the fans," said Gebre Selassie.
For the first time in the 113-year history of the club, SV Werder is represented at the Christmas market with a stand. After a shopping trip around the city, fans and shoppers can come by for some mulled win to relax and pick up those great Green-Whites gifts for their loved ones. From chocolate Santa Clauses to Christmas tree ornaments to exclusive Christmas jersey to winter hats, the Werder hut in the Lloyd Passage has everything to make the Christmas season special for Green-Whites fans.
