Even though the team is currently on holiday and won't start up training on Thursday 26 June 2014, SV Werder's up-coming China Tour is definitely overshadowing all else for the Green-Whites. Werder will be in Asia from 30 June to 7 July and will play two test matches against Changchun Yatai and Tianjin TEDA. Bremen have been working intensively for weeks on preparations so the trip to the Far East goes on without problems.
SV Werder have been represented for days on China's two short news services Sina Weibo and Tencent Weibo to keep the football fans in the world's most populated nation up to date on the latest on-goings. The Green-Whites will also adjust to the culture and language of the host nation in the two test matches. The jerseys will not have the normal players' names like Fritz, Caldirola and Petersen but instead adjusted to the Chinese characters.
In addition, companies also have the chance to meet the team from the Weser. In Tianjin, SV Werder are holding an official gala evening event which will include the Bundesliga players as well as business representatives and high ranking officials. Among them at the event at the team hotel will be Dr. Heiner Heseler from the Bremen City Council for economics, employment and ports as well a few Bremen companies.
