The test match against FC Chelsea was the perfect conclusion to the an all around successful day. The 20th edition of Day of the Fans fulfilled every fan's desire. A number of entertaining activities for young and old outside the stadium and a 3-0 victory over the Champions League side from London in Weser Stadium provided the optimal package for the Bremen fan's heart. But while there was a hint of euphoria over the 90 minutes in the stands, the players were more sceptical.

Here is the reaction to the match:

Clemens Fritz: "We did a lot of things well in the second half of last season and now we are continuing that. We really worked hard in the preparations but we still have work ahead of us. You can see that we are a step further, but what's important are the matches in the cup and Bundesliga."

Assani Lukimya: "Many things worked pretty well, especially for us on defense. But we're not going to get euphoric. We cannot let the 3-0 blind us, and we aren't doing that. I think that we are on a good road."

Robin Dutt: "The result absolutely doesn't matter, even though of course it's very nice for the fans on this kind of day. We need to take our confidence from good actions and not from results. The most important thing is that we implement things from training. I saw that over stretches today. We need to get more physical to create more consistent chances and not allow as much defensively."

Zlatko Junuzovic: "This victory gives us confidence but we also shouldn't take too much from it. We are staying realistic. It was a friendly and you saw that on the pitch. The performance was okay. We can build on it. Still we have quite a bit to do in the next two weeks."
