The Werder players started preparations for the Stuttgart match on Wednesday with two sessions on the training grounds. A number of spectators came out to Weser Stadium to watch the team go through a number of different game formations, with Marnon Busch taking part again as well.
The team really went at it both in the morning and afternoon sessions. Even Werder coach Viktor Skripnik couldn't help himself and took part as a "neutral player". The coach did once again have the services of Busch, who was back after overcoming his flu. The 19-year-old was able to go through running sessions on Sunday and the beginning of the week. "I am okay again. I am not 100 percent yet but I will get back the fitness I am missing in the up-coming practices before the game," said Busch.
Also on hand were Marcel Hilßner and Maximilian Eggestein from the U23 team after both scored two goals with the second team. Philipp Bargfrede and Julian van Haacke meanwhile were working individually with athletics Reinhard Schnittker with the hopes of returning to team training as soon as possible.
