The action continues throughout the international break. On Friday evening (16:30 CEST), SV Werder Bremen will face second-tier side RasenBallsport Leipzig in a charity match. The game will take place in the Krandelstadion in Wildeshausen.
Werder responded to the request of Leipzig head coach and sporting director Ralf Rangnick. He had been informed of an accident at the "Private Greens" company in Wildeshausen, which resulted in two members of staff being severely injured and one being tragically killed. The man in question was married and had three children aged nine, 12 and 18 respectively.

It's not just Werder and Leipzig who have got involved - VfL Wildeshausen are also helping. They will host the game and have taken care of all the organising. Additionally, they have taken part in a game featuring their first and youth teams.
DFB referee Frank Willenborg, who has officiated in the top two divisions, will take charge of the match. He will be assisted by Franz Bokop and Henrik Bramlage. The trio will not be paid for the job, which means that "More than €1,000 can be donated to the cause."
"The charitable cause is the game's focal point. We're looking forward to doing our bit, but obviously we'd also like to win the match. The players who don't get too much game time will feature, so it's a good opportunity for them," explained Torsten Frings.
