SV Werder Bremen will travel to Belek for their winter training camp. Viktor Skripnik's team will prepare for the second half of the Bundesliga season along the Turkish Riviera from Tuesday 6 January 2015 to Wednesday 14 January 2015. After having last year's winter training camp in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, it will be the Green-Whites' 13th training camp in Belek.
"Belek simply offers very good conditions for our training camp. And we need them too so that our new coaching staff can optimally use the short time before the start of the second half," said Werder's manager of sports Thomas Eichin.
"I have been to Belek a few times as a player and know the conditions there. The hotels and training grounds are good but also the selection of test match opponents on site," said head coach Skripnik.
Before kicking off the new year with the first Bundesliga match at home against Hertha Berlin on Sunday 1 February 2015 at 3:30 p.m., Skripnik's team will play test matches during their stay in Turkey though opponents and dates are not yet known.
