What a wild story. As if the match between Werder and Hoffenheim hadn't already provided enough to talk about, it was of all people Philipp Bargfrede who scored the 4-4 equaliser in stoppage time. The 24-year-old was subbed in after 70 minutes for his season debut after a long injury break. But that wasn't enough as ‘Bargi' also added his first Bundesliga goal in his 88th Bundesliga match.

"I was out injured a long time. I couldn't have imagined anything more special. After the goal, I had enough energy for three more matches," said Bargfrede after the match. "In the end, we only picked up one point but we have to be satisfied with that. Today, we rewarded ourselves for never giving up. But I hope that in future matches we play hard from the beginning."
Werder manager Thomas Eichin was also happy for the defensive midfielder after the match, even though Bargfrede did something that Eichin was never able to do - score a Bundesliga goal. "These kinds of stories only happen in the Bundesliga. Of course, I am happy for him because until now he had so much bad luck. I hope that he can stabilise himself a bit now. He saved us a point today," said Eichin.
