Werder player Levent Aycicek started his rehab on Monday after successful knee surgery. The German junior international returned to Bremen on Sunday after his hospital stay in Bad Griesbach, where he underwent an arthroscopic procedure on Friday.

"The result of the examination confirmed our diagnosis. Levent injured the cruciate ligament transplant. In addition, the interior meniscus is injured," said team doctor Götz Dimanski on Monday.

Aycicek, who had fought his way back to the team from a cruciate injury in the same knee, re-injured the knee in team training on Friday 11 May 2012. The talent will be rehabbing in the coming weeks in Bremen, starting up his comeback fight once again.
