Stevanovic himself would like to possibly earn a spot on the Green-Whites' Bundesliga roster starting with the beginning of pre-season preparations on 29 June 2011. "I assume that I can showcase myself with appearances in the U23s and hope that I can find my footing quickly like my brother and celebrate my Bundesliga debut. Predrag is the more offensive player among us, I see myself more as a defensive midfielder," said the younger Stevanovic, who still has a knack in front of the goal.
The Essen native last season scored ten goals in 20 appearances for Schalke's U19 side, helping them finish second in the A-Juniors Bundesliga West. Stevanovic started his football career with TuS Essen-West before going through Rot-Weiß Essen on his way to Gelsenkirchen. Last August, the 1.75m, 65kg Stevanovic was invited to the Serbian U19 national team for the first time.
