Marko Arnautovic is back in training since Sunday evening and fully integrated into the team's program, meaning the suspension at the end of last season is in the past.
Werder manager Thomas Eichin was very clear about the Arnautovic situation after the arrival Sunday afternoon at the team hotel Theresa. "He apologised to Werder. He knows that he did something wrong. Now he will get a new chance. I made it clear to him in a personal chat that he is starting at zero - also for me, and I told him that," said Eichin. "He will be treated like any other player by me and the coach. We are a team, there are rules that Marko must obey. And there are some freedoms that he has just like any other player."
Eichin will take a look at the situation in the coming days. "I will observe a little how Marko handles that but also that things don't keep being brought up and he's asked about it every day and has to answer questions. He will concentrate on football," said Eichin.
After the first training Sunday night, Arnautovic talked to gathered media (see video on WERDER.TV). For the rest of the week, he wants to just train and play football.
