"Denni worked really well and created some chances which he unfortunately could not take advantage of," said head coach Thomas Schaaf about the Swede's debut. "He struggled a bit getting into the game, just like the entire team. Whenever he was there the scene was already past. He has to deal with this rhythm, this pressure and this crowd. It is different than in Sweden. But he can be satisfied today. He just has to keep at it. He's a player we will consider in the coming games," added manager Klaus Allofs.
Even though the 1.92m striker could not use his chances, he was also praised by his teammates. "Of course it's another game with Claudio Pizarro. He attracts defenders and creates space. But Denni did well today. We played for the first time today, but I am convinced that it will get better game by game if we play together more often," said attack partner Sandro Wagner, who failed to score for the first time in three matches. "You cannot score in every game. That's just football. Now we have to free our heads and get more points in Frankfurt on Friday," said Wagner looking forward for the Green-Whites.
