+++ Bargfrede fit, Junuzovic is out. Tomorrow (19/09/2015, 15:30 CEST), for the first time in Bundesliga history, Werder will face FC Ingolstadt. Philipp Bargfrede will return to the squad in time for the clash with the Bundesliga new boys from Bavaria. The defensive midfielder was back training with the rest of the team this week. Manager Viktor Skripnik is delighted about the 26-year-old's return: "I'm glad he's back on board. We need someone like him." Zlatko Junuzovic on the other hand will not be fit to play for the Green-Whites against Ingolstadt. The Austria international was not able to train with the team this week due to a cold. "He already wasn't feeling well before the Hoffenheim game but still managed to put in a top performance and score two goals. In addition, he covered the most ground out of anyone on the pitch. It's a shame he can't play," said the Ukrainian boss. In Junuzovic's place, the young Maximilian Eggestein makes the squad.
The following 18 players will form the squad for Werder's first ever Bundesliga clash with Ingolstadt.
S. Garcia, Gálvez, Lukimya, Vestergaard, Fritz, Jóhannsson, Öztunali, Pizarro, Kroos, U.Garcia, Ujah, Bartels, Gebre Selassie, Eggestein, Sternberg and Bargfrede. +++
+++ Reinforcements for the U23 ahead of their match against VfB Stuttgart: In an attempt to improve the Green-Whites' third league side, the youngsters: Florian Grillitsch (20), Levent Aycicek (21), Luca-Milan Zander (20), Melvyn Lorenzen (20), Marnon Busch (20), Julianvon Haacke (21) and Oliver Hüsing (22) will be training with the Werder U23s until further notice. "We have two professional teams, and we aim to develop our youngsters into very talented players. They will be able to gain the necessary self-confidence and game practice with the U23s," explained manager Viktor Skripnik. "We've won two games in a row now, so we don't have much reason to change the squad. If they spend all week training with us and then end up not playing on the weekend, it will be quite frustrating for them more than anything," added Skripnik. Success for the U23 is essential for Werder to remain on the right tracks, as emphasised by sporting director Thomas Eichin: "We want to be playing in the third division next year as well!" +++

+++Ulli Garcia answers questions on Twitter: On Thursday night, Ulli Garcia had a Twitter chat with his fans, and answered lots of personal questions. He revealed his favourite drink, Sumol, which is Portuguese pineapple lemonade drink, his favourite meal, salt cod with potatoes. He also talked about his footballing idol Cristiano Ronaldo, the Justin Timberlake concert he went to in Zurich and the former player, Ulli Borowka, with whom he shares a first name. After a good half hour of the chat he had to say goodbye to his fans.+++
+++ Set-piece specialist even in a virtual world: Werder Bremen's player of the year 2014/2015, Zlatko Junuzovic, has been praised in a very special way. Even before the release of the EA's video game FIFA 16, Junuzovic has been named in the top ten free kick takers. Last season, he scored five goals from set pieces and is quite rightly been given the rating of 93, the third best in the game. Juno, however, still has to catch up with Andrea Pirlo and Hakan Calhanoglu. +++
