+++Werder strong in the tackle: According to Sport1.de, two SV Werder players made it into the top five tacklers of the weekend. Santiago Garcia was at number four, having won 81.8 percent of his duels, while Jannik Vestergaard - who won 84.6 percent of his - was ranked at second place. Garcia's general defensive display earned him a place in both Transfermarkt.de's and ARD Sportschau's 'Team of the Week'.+++

+++ Junuzovic's first brace: In the last minute win for the Green-Whites away at 1899 Hoffenheim, Junuzovic enjoyed his first ever Bundesliga brace. With two goals and an assist in the new season after four games, Junuzovic is already coming close to levelling his goal scoring record from last season. The 27-year-old was promptly rewarded for his outstanding performance and joined Garcia in both of the German teams of the week. 'Juno' will also remain on Bundesliga.de's list of nominees for player of the week. Great work, Juno! +++

+++ Visiting his old teammates: Former Werder man Nils Petersen was among the 28,312 spectators at the game between TSG Hoffenheim and the Green-Whites on Sunday. Petersen, currently playing as a forward at SC Freiburg made the short two hour journey from Breisgau to Sinsheim. After a 2-0 win against Kaiserslautern on Friday, he went on to enjoy a Werder victory. +++

+++ Fritz reaches milestone: For Werder captain Clemens Fritz, the 3-1 victory for the Green-Whites over Hoffenheim had a personal bonus. The 34-year-old celebrated his 100th Bundesliga victory for Werder and became only the 25th player to achieve this feat in a SVW top. This was the icing on the cake for Clemens on Sunday. Congratulations Clemens! +++
