Werder Bremen completed their final training ahead of the Hoffenheim match in ice-cold temperatures Saturday afternoon. Head coach Thomas Schaaf had to do without reserve keeper Raphael Wolf, who sat out training with a hip problem.
"He had a couple of problems so that's why we're talking Richard Strebinger with us," said Schaaf, who otherwise didn't have any surprises for his roster. "Everyone else who I wanted will be coming."
Also on hand is deputy captain Aaron Hunt, who on Saturday did feel a slight twinge in his calf but will be ready. "It's nothing that will stop me," said Werder's top goal scorer.
The following 18 players are making the trip to Hoffenheim for the game on Sunday at 3:30 pm.: Mielitz, Strebinger, Gebre Selassie, Sokratis, Prödl, Lukimya, Ignjovski, Schmitz, Fritz, Ekici, De Bruyne, Hunt, Arnautovic, Elia, Füllkrug, Akpala, Petersen, Wurtz.
