Visiting family from back home. Anthony Ujah faces his former side FC Köln on Saturday, and his family have flown in to support him. His mother and aunt are currently visiting him in Bremen, and they both dropped in to watch the training session on Wednesday - hopefully they will have reason to celebrate this weekend.

Not afraid to change things up. Viktor Skripnik does not shy away from making decisions, and like to try new things out with the ultimate aim of strengthening Werder. This shows itself in the fact that he has made a change to his starting XI in his last 27 Bundesliga matches. Last Sunday in Stuttgart, he brought Alejandro Gálvez, Clemens Fritz and Levin Öztunali into the starting side.

Hand prints. Finally they are here. The hand prints of honourary president Klaus-Dieter Fischer. The 74-year-old started the process back in October, and it was officially finished at the beginning of this week. They can be found at the entrance of the WUSEUM.
