For the injured Theodor Gebre Selassie, Saturday's game in Wolfsburg appears to have come too soon, and he explained on Wednesday that he will sit out as a precautionary measure. As a result of his concussion in the Augsburg game, the Czech right back has taken a nine-day break from training. After visiting his teammates in training last week, he began an individual programme today.
Whilst his teammates took part in their 10:00 training session, Theodor Gebre Selassie took part in a ten-minute running session after his break from training. "I worked a bit in the gym after that," said Gebre Selassie. He described his own current situation as "much, much better than last week. I don't have any headaches anymore, but my eyes are still somewhat tired. It's a strange feeling. I can't say yet that I'm one hundred per cent fit."

For this reason, the Czech defender is being carefully reintroduced to the team: "I'm in contact with the doctor every day and we'll see together how much we can raise the intensity."
There is, however, not much hope of an appearance this weekend against VfL Wolfsburg. "It'll be hard to be available this weekend. If I played and took a blow to the head, the situation could get a low worse and I'd have to be out for even longer. We don't want that. I do hope that I'll be completely able to train with the team next week," the full back explained.
