With the season now in full swing, it's the perfect time for SV Werder Bremen to unveil their brand new alternate kit. The new strip will be available from 14:00 CEST on Friday. Just like the previous special edition of the Werder kit, which featured the statue of the Town Musicians of Bremen, its successor also has close ties to the region. The shirt is in the City of Bremen's colours of red and white, and features a diagonal sash in red. The key from the city's coat of arms is also present.
The new kit will get its first run-out in the DFB Cup tie against 1. FC Köln on Wednesday, 28th October from 20:30 CEST. "Our first cup home game in five years is the perfect opportunity to debut the new alternate kit," said Petra Stelljes, chief executive of the Werder fan service. It's not to be a one-off appearance though. "This alternate kit will also be our Christmas kit on the final Bundesliga home matchday of the year. Curiously, that will also be against Köln in mid-December. The Werder fan service team obviously have their fingers crossed that the players can get two wins from those two games." The strip will also feature in Bundesliga games where the darker colours of the green and white home kit and the navy and orange away kit both clash with the opponents.

Just like the other strips from the 2015/16 campaign, Nike have used modern developments in performance innovation, fabric technology and humidity management to produce the best kit for the players, while also demonstrating the environmental friendliness of their products.
he shirt, which like its predecessor is available from €64.99, will be available to order in the online shop. You can add your favourite player's name and number or personalise it yourself, with the lettering and numbering in Werder green.
*Shirts with player or individual name and number personalisation cannot be exchanged. That also applies when a player leaves the club or changes their kit number during the season.
