SV Werder had enough chances, but at the end there was a disappointing score on the board at the HID-Arena. It was the fourth loss in a row for Fritz, Bartels and Co., leaving the Green-Whites disappointed as they left the field. "Obviously we're very frustrated. The loss is a painful one and it'll weigh on our minds through the international break," said Zlatko Junuzovic. The Austrian is also seeing the two-week break as an opportunity: "We should take the positives from the situation. Now is the right time to analyse our mistakes and put them right."
WERDER.DE collected the thoughts of those involved in the game and put together the most important quotes.
On the game:
Thomas Eichin: "Sometimes you can get a good result without playing well, and sometimes the opposite happens. We started the game well and played decently, and there was nothing to fault in our attitude, either. We created a lot of chances today, but we couldn't get the ball over the line. On the whole, I think we were the better team, but we didn't score any goals and in the end we lost to a set piece. The Bundesliga can be brutal. We're not pleased with the team's response."

Zlatko Junuzovic: "In the end, it was decided by a few small things. We could have scored a goal of our own before they took the lead. Zieler was in fine form and we were the ones who ended up conceding. We gave everything we had, but it was too little, too late. We need to be more flexible and more decisive in front of goal. Particularly in the first half, we weren't determined enough."
Fin Bartels: "The defeat is hard to take. It's annoying that we're leaving empty-handed again. We started well, but we fluffed our lines. I can't explain how Hannover got themselves into the game. We spoke at half time about what we wanted to do better. We gave everything but we didn't take our chances. The ball just didn't want to go in for us today. As a result, we didn't pick up any points. Football is a results business and we didn't get one today. The team battled hard but didn't have much luck."
Viktor Skripnik: "I feel differnetly today than how I did after the Leverkusen defeat. That wasn't a bad game from us. We played football, reacted well, but unfortunately wasted too many chances. We wanted to win today at all costs, so my team played with a lot of discipline and courage. In our situation we would have been happy with a scrappy win and three points."
Clemens Fritz: "I'm very annoyed with this result. We were very good in the first half and had two or three good chances. But the whole game we were lacking that cutting edge in front of goal. We moved the ball very well until the opponent's penalty area."
Theodor Gebre Selassie: "We've had a tough two weeks, we wanted to put on a good performance today. Overall that wasn't a bad performance from us, but we didn't put enough pressure on the opponent's goal because the final pass wasn't good enough. At 1-0 it was very difficult against such a fit and hard-working side."

On the current situation:
Fin Bartels: "The situation is serious, we know that. We now have two weeks to analyse our performance and build on it. We'll start from scratch against Bayern. We have been unlucky and unfortunate. We will work a lot."
Thomas Eichin: "We can get out all the facts and discuss the game and explain why we lost. We have lost four in a row, that's not good, but we can deal with the pressure. We have done it before and we will do it again. We will win more games and get our confidence back."
Viktor Skripnik: "It's not an ideal situation having lost four on the trot and face Bayern next. There's still lots of time this season, and we can improve a lot. I am sure that we will have more success this season."
Clemens Fritz: "We know that seven points from eight games is too few. We will address this problem and sort it out."
Jannik Vestergaard: "We are now facing a relegation battle. But that is not decided until much later on in the season. There are still lots of points to be won."
On the upcoming game against Bayern:
Viktor Skripnik: "It's a bonus game for us. We will prepare for the game as normal, and will try to keep the ball and frustrate the opponent. For the young boys it's a dream come true to play against such a big team. We can only gain from the experience."
