SV Werder Bremen have loaned attacker Izet Hajrovic to Spanish Primera Division side SD Eibar for the rest of the season, confirmed Thomas Eichin at lunchtime on Monday. The recently promoted La Liga side have no option to buy the 24-year-old Bosnian international.
"With this move we are hoping that Izet will be able to fulfil his potential in a new environment and in a different playing system. We have faith in him. He has already proven his ability many times for the national team," said Thomas Eichin. Sporting director Rouven Schröder added: "We have come to know Izet as an ambitious player and a good lad. He always works hard for the team. We also know how much potential he has and we hope that he will return to us a stronger player. We will track his progress closely in he Spanish top flight."
Izet Hajrovic joined SV Werder Bremen on a free transfer in the summer of 2014, having previously played for Galatasaray and Grasshoppers. The Swiss-born attacker, who made 14 appearances for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team in the past two seasons, including at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, has made 19 Bundesliga appearances and scored one goal for Werder.
