Makiadi told WERDER.DE that he can now train "without pain" again and no longer has problems with his thigh. Santiago Garcia was also looking forward to finally getting back to training with the team. "it was a very long break and I had to train a lot on my own to reach a high enough level of fitness, but I feel really good again and don't have any pain in my knee," says the Green-Whites' left back.
Werder's new striker Aron Johannsson has been in Bremen for a week now and already feels welcome on and off the pitch. "Training with the team is really fun. Although I've only been here seven days, I already feel very welcome," says the USA international. The 24-year-old is simmering with excitement for the weekend: "I could make my first Bundesliga appearance for Werder against Schalke 04. That would be a great experience, so I'm giving my all in training."
Whilst reserves coach Alexander Nouri assisted the first team staff on the pitch in the morning, Levent Aycicek, Izet Hajrovic, Lukas Fröde, Özkan Yildirim, Melvyn Lorenzen, Julian von Haacke and Marnon Busch trained again with the reserves in the afternoon.
