On Thursday morning manager Viktor Skripnik delivered the first of two sessions at the Weser-Stadion. Among those training was Fin Bartels. The 28-year-old was missing from Wednesday's session after picking up a dead leg during the 1-1 draw against Hansa Rostock on Tuesday. That said, the attacker wasn't completely without pain and as such will complete his own individual training programme on Thursday afternoon.

Bartels was naturally disappointed after the morning's training: "The session really didn't go well for me. I could feel the pain more and more and will do some individual work this afternoon. We need to take each day as it comes and see how it recovers", he said. There are no fears, however, that he will miss the training camp in Zillertal. "I will definitely travel to Austria with the team", continued Bartels.

Whilst Bartels will not be joining the team this afternoon, Raphael Wolf will be returning to first-team training. Having trained for the first time on Wednesday following his hip operation, the 27-year-old trained alone on Thursday morning. The goalkeeper is hoping to join the Green-Whites for the second training camp in the Austrian Alps.
