Werder's fans can hardly wait for the new season to begin, especially when you have a look at the number of season tickets sold for the 2015/16 season. Fans that were already in possession of a season ticket at the Weser-Stadion last year had until last Monday to exercise their exclusive right to priority renewal for their season tickets. Only a few people have missed out on this chance.
"Only 500 of the 25,000 season tickets for the 2015/16 season will be made available. Around 98 percent of fans have applied for their tickets via priority renewal. This number again emphasises the loyalty of the fans to the club. Everyone is really looking forward to supporting our team in 17 home games at the Weser-Stadion next season," says Oliver Rau, director of marketing and sales, before adding: "The popularity of a season ticket at the Weser-Stadion also highlights the number of unfulfillable wishes. We had over 8,500 applications for tickets, which is possibly record-breaking."
The remaining 500 season tickets, which weren't renewed in the priority period, will be assigned to interested fans by the drawing of lots. Fans who are interested must apply at werder.de by Friday. Priority in the allocation of half of these vacated tickets will be given to fans who have official Werder membership.
SV Werder Bremen has in the last years always sold out its allocation of 25,000 available season tickets.
