Werder were clear winners in their final post-season friendly as they beat Delmenhorst 7-1 in an entertaining game in front of 2,500 fans. SVW's Assani Lukimya was once again the standout player, notching up a hat-trick.
Line-up and formation: There was one change to the side that started the 4-1 victory in Cuxhaven with Herbert Bockhorn replacing Piperkov. Assani Lukimya once again led the line.

2nd minute: Lightning start for SVW! The second hand of the clock has only made one revolution and the Green-Whites have already scored. Bartels set up captain Clemens Fritz, whose effort from 16 metres out gave the keeper no chance.
15th minute: The Delmenhorst players are struggling to keep tabs on Assani Lukimya, Werder‘s new attacking gem. The Congolese international tricks his way past three opposition players in the penalty area but his shot is deflected just wide.
27th minute: Delmenhorst hit back. Thomas Celik equalises for the hosts, who had previously struggled to get a foothold in the match.
33rd minute: He strikes again! Lukimya restores Werder's lead just minutes later. Makiadi provides the assist and he makes it 2-1, recording his fourth post-season goal.
40th minute: SVW are now running the game. Pedro Güthermann increases Werder's advantage, clinically slotting home to make it 3-1 after Fritz's build-up play.

44th and 48th minute: Lukimya keeps on scoring! A goal either side of the break creates breathing space for Werder. Shortly afterwards the afternoon and season is over for him, Fritz, Kroos, Bartels, Makiadi and Zander.
61st minute: A superb individual effort from Herbert Bockhorn takes it to 6-1. The youngster is really enjoying the game.
77th minute: Janek Sternberg's free-kick rattles the crossbar. Werder are clearly dominating and still pushing. However, the hosts are sitting very deep and leaving little room in the final third.
87th minute: Ten minutes later Sternberg succeeds in getting his name on the scoresheet. The left-back converts a penalty after a foul by Yigit and brings the scoreline to 7-1.
Summary: SVW bowed out in impressive fashion, netting 25 times in four matches. It's now time for the side to have a well-deserved break.
