Werder manager Viktor Skripnik was forced to make several changes to his squad following the Green White's final training session of the season. Whilst the manager could celebrate the return of trio Janek Sternberg, Melvyn Lorenzen and Raphael Wolf, he also had three absentees to worry about.
Davie Selke was missing from the session due to a hamstring injury that he picked up early this week. He will also miss the season finale against BVB on Saturday (15:30), as will Philipp Bargfrede.

There was some bad news for goalkeeping talent Michael Zetterer, who was included in the first team squad for the first time against Borussia Mönchengladbach after the goalkeeper fractured his wrist at training on Thursday. Zetterer will be out for at least two months and will not only miss the final game in Dortmund but also the Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand. Raphael Wolf will replace him in the squad. The 26-year-old trained with his teammates for the first time at the final training session since his hip problems.
The 18-man squad for the final game of the season:
Wolf, Casteels - Lukimya, Makiadi, Vestergaard, Di Santo, Öztunali, Hajrovic, Prödl, Junuzovic, Kroos, Aycicek,Bartels, Gebre Selassie, Von Haacke, Lorenzen, Sternberg und Busch.
