+++ Happy Birthday, Bernd Hobsch: Hobsch only played for Bremen for three and a half years but his 45 goals and 23 assists in 135 competitive games helped Bremen win two tournaments. They won the Bundesliga in 1993 thanks to his brace against VfB Stuttgart; he was also involved when Bremen lifted the DFB Cup the following year. Last weekend he represented the club during the "German Ice Football Cup." Hobsch turned 47 on Thursday. +++

+++ Anniversary: On 8th May 2015, at 17:42 CEST to be precise, SV Werder were able to celebrate the first major triumph of the club's history: They were crowned German champions for the 1964/65 season. +++
