Positive news from training today at the Weser-Stadion: Jannik Vestergard was back in training for the Green-Whites' first session of the week. The knee injury he picked up during the North Derby last month has fully recovered. "I am pain free and can join in fully without any problems", the 22 year old told WERDER.DE.

Vestergaard is also available to face Hannover 96 in the upcoming game this weekend. "I am fit", said the Dane. Felix Kroos (cracked rib), Alejandro Gálvez (knee problem), Luca Caldirola (foot problem), Santiago Garcia (knee problem) and Özkan Yildirim (ligament tear) were all missing from the week's first training session.

Youngsters Lukas Fröde, Marnon Busch, Maximilian Eggestein, Luca Zander and Julian von Haacke were also all missing from Viktor Skripnik's session on Tuesday. The four players will strengthen the Werder U23s against Hamburger SV II tomorrow in the battle for top spot in the Regionalliga.
