++ Debutant Fröde: The 1-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt was particularly special for Lukas Fröde. The 20-year-old was delighted with the three points but he also made his Bundesliga debut. The midfielder, who manager Viktor Skripnik believes is "very good in the air", was brought on in the 90th minute in place of Zlatko Junuzovic and helped to bring home all three points against Frankfurt. Fröde, who joined SV Werder's youth setup back in 2009 from FC Carl Zeiss Jena, was very happy with his successful debut: "It was a great feeling to play at the Weser-Stadion. It's a real dream come true. The day was rounded off brilliantly with the win. I had a quick look at my phone after the game and it just kept going off," said Fröde on Monday. +++

++ Man of the match given the all clear: Davie Selke played 81 minutes against Eintracht Frankfurt and put in a good performance. The striker was rewarded for his efforts with a goal, which proved to be decisive. However, just before the final whistle the 20-year-old had to be brought off due to cramp and was replaced by Cedrick Makiadi. Selke is now trouble free and it's almost certain that he will be back in team training during the week. The striker was voted Volkswagen Man of the match by the Werder fans on Facebook. +++

++ Praise for Fritz: Clemens Fritz put everything into his performance on Saturday against Frankfurt. The captain didn't just receive praise from the Green-Whites fans but also from sporting director Thomas Eichin. "Normally I don't praise anyone in particular but Clemens Fritz deserves it today. The way he fought, the way he kept hold of the ball and won it back was very good," said Eichin. Fritz put in the most tackles during the game and had 60 touches of the ball, which was more than any other SVW player. +++

++ Trainee Busch: Marnon Busch started a year-long internship with SV Werder on Monday. The right back will work in three different departments at SVW in order to gain as much experience as possible. The 20-year-old will firstly work in the performance centre before going on to the media section and communication. By the end of his internship, Busch will have gained an insight into CSR- Management. +++

++ Important derby for the under-23s: On Wednesday, 6th May 2015, Werder's U23s will come up against Hamburger SV in the youth Regionalliga. If Werder win against HSV, then Alexander Nouri's team will open up a six point gap over second placed VfL Wolfsburg with just three games to go. The game should have taken place back in March but it had to be postponed due to the weather. +++
