SV Werder Bremen will travel to Paderborn this weekend for the first time in Bundesliga history. The Green-Whites are the visitors to the Benteler-Arena on Sunday from 15:30 CEST, when the battle for three important points commences. There was good news for coach Viktor Skripnik ahead of the trip: Zlatko Junuzovic and Alejandro Gálvez were both declared fit to travel. Both players missed some sessions during the week through injury, but returned just in time to complete final training.

Zlatko Junuzovic, who only couldn't train with the team until Friday after picking up a knock to his thigh in the derby, was in high spirits following the session. The Austrian felt "very confident" that he will be able to play in Paderborn. The manager had to wait until Saturday before he could make on decision on Gálvez's involvement in the squad. The Spaniard had missed training through the week, but as with Junuzovic, he was able to complete Saturday's session without any problems and will travel to North Rhine-Westphalia.

Fin Bartels (ankle strain and capsule tear), Jannik Vestergaard (kneecap) and Santiago Garcia (knee) will all be missing for SV Werder on Sunday.

Viktor Skripnik is expecting a tough game in Paderborn. "I'm expecting a tricky game against a tricky opposition. It could be a good thing if they sit as deep as HSV did. Nevertheless, we want to come away from Paderborn with all three points," said the Werder manager at the official press conference on Thursday.

Here is the 18-man SV Werder squad for the game against SC Paderborn 07 on Sunday (15:30 CEST):

Wolf, Casteels - Aycicek, Sternberg, Makiadi, Lukimya, Junuzovic, Gebre Selassie, Selke, Öztunali, Gálvez, Di Santo, Kroos, Bargfrede, Fritz, Yildirim, Prödl, Hajrovic
