Alejandro Gálvez will be travelling with the rest of the squad to Stuttgart this evening. The Spaniard is back in the squad for the first time since February. Viktor Skripnik didn't give any indication as to whether he would start or not in the pre-match press conference. Clemens Fritz also returns to the squad after an injury.

"The team has already shown this season that they can play football the right way," said Skripnik. However, he also knows that the season isn't over yet: "We still have aims, one of which is to beat Stuttgart on Sunday." Gálvez could return to Skripnik's starting XI as Sebastian Prödl is banned for the game having picked up five yellow cards. Jannik Vestergaard has been struggling with a cold, which further strengthens his chances of returning. At the press conference the head coach explained that he had already had an idea as to who would be in his starting line-up: "We'll keep training though and I may change my mind. Alex isn't the only option. Lukimya has trained well and is ready."
The game will see a reunion with Robin Dutt, who was previously in charge at Bremen but is now Stuttgart's sporting director. "It's a normal game for me but it's probably more special for him," said Skripnik. Thomas Eichin added that "since Dutt left the club we've spoken on the phone a few times. On Sunday I'll be focussed on gaining three points, however."
A victory over Stuttgart isn't a foregone conclusion. Viktor Skripnik said, "People thought we would beat Köln and Mainz. We didn't but at least we remained unbeaten. It's going to be tricky. Stuttgart will fight for everything."
