Central defender Vestergaard has been suffering with a cold for the past few days, while captain Fritz missed Thursday's session due to knee complaints. Welcome back! +++

+++ Make a stand against prejudice: Werder sent out a clear message against discrimination and exclusion last weekend. The Green-Whites, along with 1. FSV Mainz 05, took part in the DFL‘s initiative encouraging integration and diversity and making a stand against violence and homophobia. Both teams wore t-shirts with the slogan "Put an end to prejudice" before the match. +++
