Four questions, four footballing questions and two unusual questions! WERDER.DE have caught up with Werder centre back Jannik Vestergaard, who has been at the club since January, for our new "Four-Four-Two" column. We spoke to him about his decision to play for Denmark, the things he couldn't live without and his strange fear of public toilets...

# Three items that I can't do without on a daily basis...
"The first, unfortunately, is my mobile phone. It's become an addiction. Often I find it bad because you sit around and everyone is on their phone and I know I couldn't go completely without it. Second is my wallet as I feel naked without it. It's a sort of security net for me and I carry it with me all the time. Finally, I couldn't be without music on a daily basis."
# If a good friend cut off your hair...
...then he wouldn't be a friend (he laughs)."
# My tip for holidays in Denmark...
"I know that a lot of Germans rent holiday homes in Denmark and like to be by the sea, but a lot visit more rural areas. It's nice to go there on a summer holiday. There are a lot of small villages that have a nice atmosphere. However, I am a city boy and I would always go to Copenhagen. It's a fantastic city with great architecture, which is what Scandinavia is famous for. When the weather gets better everyone goes outside and sits in cafés or at the harbour. I love the city and will definitely live there once I retire from football."
# An absolute no-go for me...
"Public toilets! If I go to the toilet at the airport, for example, it means I'm really desperate and wash my hands at least a thousand times! That bugs me. When I go to the toilet I can't touch the door so I use my T-shirt or a tissue."

# I will captain Denmark's Under-21s to the European Championship title and ...
... be partly responsible for an upset (he grins).
# I decided to play for Denmark because...
...I grew up there and my friends and family live there. It was always my dream as a child to play for the national team and to hear the Danish national anthem. My gut instinct was always to choose Denmark. I do have a connection to Germany though and I feel German in many ways. It wouldn't have been strange to have played for Germany."
# My favourite swapped shirt...
"I haven't swapped that many shirts as I don't have much interest in playing the fan and asked for a another's shirt. Often players only want to get the best players shirts and against those teams you often get beaten and after a defeat I am too frustrated to think about swapping a shirt! That said, I have one from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Kevin De Bruyne."
# If i was sporting director for the day I would immediately buy...
"Do I have an unlimited budget? (laughing) I would buy Paul Pogba, what a great player. He's only 21 yet he plays with such an incredible self-assurance. In my opinion, he deserves all the recognition and attention he gets because he is one of the best midfielders in the world."

# If I had a superpower it would be...
...to be able to fly. Not because I want to be able to get to places quickly, but because of the feeling of freedom it would give me. Even if I could only fly as quickly as I can walk, it would be an indescribable experience to see everything and not have to rely on roads. But that would be a real luxury and we have it pretty good as humans I think."
# My three favourite smartphone Apps...
"Firstly all the live ticker apps that let me check the scores and the NFL Game Pass that lets me watch the games live or afterwards. I'm a big fan of the New England Patriots. American Football is a complete sport with so many aspects that fascinate me. The third app would be Twitter. I like Twitter a lot, not because I like to tweet a lot, but because you can get a lot of information in a short space of time. A funny story can spread so quickly, I find that really interesting. Twitter is all about people's stories, whereas I find Instagram more about showing off. You can show everyone who good you look or what car you are driving and how good your life is. On Twitter anybody can be noticed if they have something exciting to tweet, even if they are unknown or don't have any pretty photos.
