+++ Running exercises on Monday: The week began with intensive running exercises for the Werder players on Monday. The majority of the squad went for a run around the Pauliner Marsch, a park in the city. Melvyn Lorenzen, Özkan Yildirim, Julian von Haacke, Levent Aycicek, Marnon Busch and Theodor Gebre Selassie completed exercises at the training ground with assistant coach Torsten Frings. The individual session was merely a precautionary measure for Theodor Gebre Selassie. The goalkeepers completed a separate session. +++
+++ Lukimya back involved: Assani Lukimya returned to team training on Sunday. Following individual sessions last week, the central defender completed the entire session with his teammates on Sunday morning. The 29-year-old got injured in the run-up ahead of the game against Wolfsburg two weeks ago. +++
+++ Prominent visitors at the Weser-Stadion: It was a full house at the weekend's game against Bayern Munich as 42,100 fans filled the Weser-Stadion. Amongst those present were prominent figures from sport and politics, including DFB president Wolfgang Niersbach, president of the Bürgerschaft (parliament of Bremen) Christian Weber und Werder's CSR ambassador Wigald Boning, as well as football legend Günter Netzer and Bremen's mayor Jens Böhrnsen. Managing directors Klaus Filbry and Dr. Hubertus Hess-Grunewald as well as chairman of the board Marco Bode took the opportunity to talk with the guests. +++

+++ #WerderWorldWide: The weekend saw the return of "International Fan-Weekend" for the fourth time, where over 50 fans from Finland, Scotland, Moldova, Jordan and the USA met up. The fans all watched the Bayern game and got a tour of the stadium, including a meet-and -greet with Franco Dr Santo. SV Werder took the opportunity to send greetings to fans across the world from the club's English twitter profile. Jannik Vestergaard, Izet Hajrovic, Santiago Garcia and Luca Caldirola also sent greetings to fans in their respective home countries using the hashtag #werderworldwide. WERDER.DE would like to thank all those who took part. We can't wait for "International Fan-Weekend" 2016! +++
