SV Werder Bremen and Levent Aycicek have agreed terms on a contract extension. The 21-year-old midfield extended his current contract with the club on Wednesday afternoon until 30th June 2018.
Werder's sporting director Thomas Eichin was very happy with the extension: "Levent has matured into a crucial part of our Bundesliga squad. He has also been able to prove his quality in the Bundesliga so therefore we're very happy that he'll continue his development at Werder." Levent Aycicek was also delighted with the agreement: "I feel very comfortable at both the club and in the city. I'm excited that Werder have shown faith in me and I'll continue to give my all every day in order to play a role at Werder for a long time."
The midfielder, who was born in Nienburg, has been with the Green-Whites since 2008 and came through the youth system at SV Werder. Aycicek has made eight appearances so far this season in the Bundesliga and the DFB Cup. Aycicek scored his second ever Bundesliga goal on matchday 13 against SC Paderborn. He's also played in 10 games for Werder's U23s in the Regionalliga Nord, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists.
