The defeat in the round of 16 cup match at Ariminia Bielefeld is still gnawing at Vikto Skripnik a day later. "We didn't cope with the character test, we played badly and are all very disappointed as a result", lamented the Werder boss during Thursday's press conference. "But Bielefeld is in the past and we need to give all our concentration to the Freiburg game", the Bremen manager says looking forward to the "most important game of the week" for the club.
The Green-Whites began their preparations for the game at lunchtime on Thursday. "Every player received individual criticism", reports Skripnik of the training sessions post match analysis. We shouldn't, however, question everything and critique everything from the game, though the Ukraine promises that the "team took the key points from the game on board."

Objective clearly set
In Freiburg, Skripnik is expecting an "improvement in all areas. Everyone needs to understand the situation and have properly analysed. They need to stay calm and focus on their strengths". But their physical state will also play an important role. Thursday's training was all about recovery so that by the time they fly to Freiburg after the final session on Friday, their batteries should be fully recharged. "Our medical team are doing a great job", praised Skripnik.
Meanwhile, the objective for Saturday's game has been clearly set. "We want to at least keep our distance from Freiburg the same", says general manager Thomas Eichin, who demands "the team without starts to win points and keep a gap between them and the teams below. That is a objective for the rest of the season"
