Maximilian Eggestein has signed his first professional contract with SV Werder Bremen. The midfielder's current deal was due to run out this summer but he has signed a new three year contract.
"We're delighted that another talented player has committed his future to the club. It's all part of our future, which we hope Maxi will be an important part of. He's already had done taste of Bundesliga action this season. I'm certain that he'll go on to make more appearances in the future," explained sporting director Thomas Eichin.

"I know Maxi from my work with the U17 and U23 sides. He's a youngster with a lot of potential. I'm looking forward to working with him again," said Viktor Skripnik.
The 18-year-old is happy to have signed: "It's a highlight for sure, but it's only the first step. My aim is to establish myself in the first team."
Maximilian Eggestein joined Werder from TSV Havelse in summer 2011. He made his senior debut against SC Paderborn earlier this season aged 17 year and 356 days.
