After two days off, preparation for Saturday's game against Schalke started this afternoon. Viktor Skripnik sent his team on a 45 minute run around the Pauliner Marsch, a park in the city, on Tuesday. Three players sat out the session, so a small group took part in an individual session.

Clemens Fritz, Philipp Bargfrede and Jannik Vestergaard sat out the session entirely. Fritz and Bargfrede's participation is decided on a daily basis, whereas Vestergaard spent time in the gym.

Franco Di Santo, Theodor Gebre Selassie and Levent Aycicek were also not involved in the running exercise. The trio completed exercises with assistant coach Florian Kohfeldt.
