+++ Makiadi is back: The "Africa Cup of Nations" adventure is over and daily work has resumed. After helping his DR Congo teammates to finish third in the tournament, Cedrick Makiadi returned to training with his Werder teammates on Wednesday. "It was a great experience for us. The enthusiasm for the team back home has increase. Consequently, I've not really felt the strain of travel," said Makiadi. Welcome back, Ced! +++

+++ Sternberg: It's been a hectic few weeks for Janek Sternberg. The left-back has been playing for the U23 side recently but signed his first professional contract this week. +++
