Philipp Bargfrede, Fin Bartels and Jannik Vestergaard are all available again for the match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Sunday (15:30 CET) after fully participating in training on Saturday morning. Izet Hajrovic (flu) was forced to miss out while Franco Di Santo trained alone. It will be decided at the last minute whether the Argentine will be available to feature. In any case, winter signing Levin Öztunali, who will come up against his former teammates on Sunday, is ready and raring to go.

The encounter between Werder and Bayer Leverkusen on matchday 3 was a spectacular game, full of goals, in the BayArena and featuring in the Leverkusen line-up was none other than 18-year-old Levin Öztunali. In August last year, the midfielder was included in the starting eleven against SVW by Bayer 04 manager Roger Schmidt. The European U19 Champion could also start this game but this time in green and white. Öztunali has played in Bremen since the turn of the year and will face his former teammates this Sunday. "I will not have to motivate him; he is fired up for this game," revealed manager Viktor Skripnik. Öztunali is trying to not attach any greater significance to the match and wants "to approach the game just like any other. I played in Leverkusen for a year and a half so know lots of the people and am still in contact with some of the guys on the team," revealed Öztunali. "I exchanged messages with one or two of them this week but it's always more relaxed after the game," he added.

The Germany youth player has been in the starting line-up for both matches since his move and in the run up to the game, his knowledge and experience could be useful for his manager. "I know their style of play so if the manager asks, I will obviously help him," said Öztunali smiling. If it helps them achieve their third consecutive victory in 2015, then all help is welcome.

Viktor Skripnik’s provisional 19-man squad for the Leverkusen game:

Raphael Wolf, Koen Casteels - Santiago Garcia, Luca Caldirola, Alejandro Gálvez, Assani Lukimya, Jannik Vestergaard, Clemens Fritz, Franco Di Santo, Levin Öztunali, Zlatko Junuzovic, Felix Kroos, Levent Aycicek, Fin Bartels, Theodor Gebre Selassie, Davie Selke, Maximilian Eggestein, Janek Sternberg and Philipp Bargfrede.
