If you looked in the faces of the fans who were visiting Werder's training on Wednesday, one thing was clear - it's school holidays in Bremen. Despite on-going rain - a real lousy weather - both the big and little Green-Whites fans waited patiently for an autograph from or photo with the players.
After head coach Robin Dutt gave his players two days off of training at the beginning of the week, there were two sessions on Wednesday. The team worked out in the weight room in the morning and they had an intensive session on the pitch in the afternoon.
There was good news about Franco Di Santo. While the Werder striker missed Sunday training with a bruised calf, he completed Wednesday's entire training with the team. That meant that other than long-term injured player Felix Kroos and Özkan Yildirim, Dutt had available to the entire squad.
